The air barrier installer certification program is designed for individuals that are currently working to install various air barrier materials in commercial construction in either the U.S or Canadian  market.  The current certification programs cover a variety of air barrier materials such as fluid applied membranes, self-adhered sheet membranes, thermofusible membranes and sprayed polyurethane foam.  Work has begun on expanding the current certification offering to include boardstock materials and mechanically fastened sheet type membranes

This certification program is endorsed and used exclusively by the Air Barrier Association of America for the U.S. market and the National Air Barrier Association for the Canadian market.
